Brand new Eric Clapton, Rolling Stones and Yes (sort of) on the horizon…

Eric Clapton Norfolk Scope (Beano-038) contains the soundboard for the final night of the summer 1975 tour in Virginia.

The Rolling Stones Hague 1976 covers the Stadion F.C. Den Haag In Het Zuiderpark, The Hague, Netherlands show on May 30th, 1976.

Yes Hail To Mike (Virtuoso 101/102) is another wasted effort by Virtuoso.  With so many great Yes tapes they could release, they choose to re-re-release the Millard September 26th, 1977 Long Beach tape.  Virtuoso’s predecessor label Siréne released this several years ago on Wonderous Master (Siréne-197) and Tarantura released the same tape in improved quality on The Shining: The Word Is Love II (Tarantura TCDY-12, 12, 14).

If you liked this review, buy me a cup of joe. (Suggested: $3 a shot or $7.5 for a double)

  1. gsparaco, you are absolutely right. They already released so many great YES shows onto their CD-R labels AMITY, WINDMILL… Some of these shows should be released on Virtuoso as true silver disc releases. Nevertheless am I happy about a possible upgrade of this important Millard tape.

  2. It may be upgraded, I don’t know. But I find it disturbing that the same two or three shows keep being pressed onto silver, while they press other interesting shows onto their CDR labels like Amity.

  3. Few weeks ago Virtuoso folks even released YES Millard Tape Master as 2 CDR set. It sounds just a little better than Wonderous Master. I am curious if Hail To Mike uses another “upgraded” Master….?
