This was the band’s commercial peak, supporting Billion Dollar Babies, and several years before the band’s singer began a solo career and co opting the name of the band.

Gr836

Van Morrison Choppin’ Wood:  The Abandoned 2001 Album (GR 836) is a one disc release with the unreleased album.

Yeah, this is what I love about Godfather-their diversity. I’ve had that A.C. L.A. ’73 board tape on cassette for decades but this will be a welcome addition. Johnbrown, there’s tons of live Cooper out there, just not much on silver disc. The Cooper lp boots from the 70’s go for a lot of money, generally, as well. My holy grail is a 2-lp set listed in the old Hot Wacks books as “In Toronto”, covering a show from the short winter ’73 Muscle of Love tour, but I’ve never been able to find a picture or anything, let alone an auction listing on ebay/popsike. I’m not convinced it actually exists. But I digress-anyway, kudos to Godfather on the Cooper title, and everything else for that matter.

Hello! Hooray! ‘Bout time somebody paid attention to the Coop…. I’ve always wondered where all the original AC Band tapes are…seen very few over the years. Or even the Dick Wagner/Steve Hunter group of the later ’70’s ( except, of course, KBFH Saginaw ’78 ). Leave it to GF to come up with another offering I can’t refuse… a keen companion to the Old School box! Now if GF could only uncover some ZZ Top shows from the ’70’s… where dey at?
