Beano, who had been relatively quiet this year, have released two new Eric Clapton titles. Hello Old Friend, Van (Beano-065) has the Belle Vue King’s Hall, Manchester, England show on August 6th, 1976 where Van Morrison serves as guest vocalist on three songs. St. Louis 1983 (Beano-066) contains the soundboard of the February 18th, 1983 show at the Keil Auditorium in St. Louis. Beano first released this tape in 2006 on Rushin’ Around as a bonus CDR with Speeding Down The Highway, but this is said to be an improvement. The Virtuoso label released two Asia titles. Dragon Flew Over Germany (Virtuoso 135/136) contains the October 23rd, 1982 show from Carl-Diem-Halle in Wurzburg, Germany. Geoffrey’s Birthday Party (Virtuoso 133/134) has the Meadowlands Arena, East Rutherford, New Jersey show on August 25th, 1983. If you liked this review, buy me a cup of joe.
