The flood of Eric Clapton titles continues with three interesting new releases coming out on the Beano label. 2nd Night In Zurich (Beano-054) is a 2CD set documenting the January 21st, 1984 show at the Hallenstadion, Zurich, Switzerland. He only played a handful of solo shows in 1984 (instead he toured in Roger Waters’ band for much of the year), so this looks like an interesting release.
Blue Blood: RAH 1995 First Night (Beano-055) is another 2CD set with the February 19th, 1995 Royal Albert Hall “Nothing But The Blues” show in London.
Finally, Complete Clarkston 1983 (Beano-053) is a six disc set covering the three shows at the Pine Knob Music Theater in Clarkston, Michigan in the summer of 1983.
A rare silver title by The Band is also going to be released. Live 1969 is a three disc title with several shows from 1969. The first disc contains their set at the Woodstock Festival on August 17th sourced from a soundboard recoridng. The second disc covers their set at the Isle Of Wight Festival in England on August 31st (they played their own set before Bob Dylan joined them for his). The second CD also has a fragment of the Decmeber show at the Felt Forum in New York. The third disc come from the October 26th show at the Academy Of Music in Philadelphia. If you liked this review, buy me a cup of joe. (Suggested: $3 a shot or $7.5 for a double)
