The Dog N Cat label released The Rolling Stones Sympathy For Slowhand (DAC-075).  This contains the new tape source for the Madison Square Garden, New York show on June 22nd, 1975 featuring Eric Clapton jamming with the band on “Sympathy For The Devil.”  This also contains two bonus tracks featuring Clapton’s studio sessions with the Stones that week in New York.

Also released today is Led Zeppelin The Legendary Boston Tea Party Vol. 1 (EVSD-498/499) on Empress Valley.  This is a two disc set with the May 29th, 1969 fair audience recording in a package similar to their Southampton Working Tapes release.

There are also three new Beatles titles now available with unreleased session outtakes from the Abbey Road Studio archives including rough mices, backing tracks, and original four track recordings from November, 1966 to June, 1967 over Inside Sgt Pepper (Part One) (PEP-1), Inside Sgt Pepper (Part Two) (PEP-2), and Inside Sgt Pepper (Part Three) (PEP-3).

I just got Led Zeppelin “The Legendary Boston Tea Party Tapes Vol. 1″ Empress Valley (EVSD-498/499) and to my ears this does sound like an upgrade compared to “Masters Of Excess” (The Symbols?) and “Complete Boston Tea Party” (ARMS). I noticed that a 2nd gen has recently been torrented so it’s possible this is the source however it’s nice to have this upgrade on silvers. I may submit a full review if time permits.
