The Godfather label have announced their latest releases coming out soon.  (These titles are not out yet and thus cannot be reviewed at this time – this posting is merely to point out that they are coming).   The first is Kiss Egos The Stake (GR 583/584).  This title contains an excellent audience recording from Wembley Arena, London, England on September 9, 1980.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band Ready For The World (GR 585/586/587) is a 3CD from the Civic Centre, St. Paul, MN on June 29, 1984.  This is the opening night of the massive Born In The U.S.A. tour.

Buffalo Springfield Playing Their Hearts Out (GR 588) is a one disc audience recording from the Bridge School Benefit at the Shoreline Amphitheatre, Mountain View, CA on October 23rd, 2010.

Pearl Jam Inside The Quiet (GR 589) contains their set from the same Bridge School Benefit as Buffalo Springfield.

Pink Floyd Hunter College 1971 (GR 590/591) is the silver pressed debut of their November 5th, 1971 show at Hunter College in New York.

Led Zeppelin Rock Saint Louie Roll! (GR 592/593/594) contains the soundboard from Zeppelin’s February 16th, 1975 St. Louis, Missouri show.

CSN&Y …And So It Goes, In Studio & On Stage (GR 595) contains various tracks from Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young’s career.

And finally, Robert Plant & The Band Of Joy Satisfied Mind (GR 596/597) is the first BOJ silver bootleg to surface.  This contains the soundboard recording from The Roundhouse, London, UK, on October 29th, 2010.

the new Floyd at Hunter College 1971 release is great to see, especially with Sigma being so inactive lately, but we can’t help but wonder whether or not it includes the last track or encore, which is A Saucerful of Secrets, as it seems that some versions have it, but others don’t. so hopefully Godfather either used one of the sources that already has ASOS, or had it added on at the end from one of those sources if they used one of the ones that don’t for all the preceding tracks that make up the rest of the release…if you know what we mean

I’ll be interested to hear whether the BAND OF JOY title is a direct lift from the BBC iPlayer, as the full concert was made available to “listen again” on the BBC iPlayer website BUT with many (my guess, deliberate) sound glitches to prevent such a release. I recorded this gig myself in glorious quality from the BBC iPlayer using Audacity software, but I haven’t quite psyched myself up to trawl through the recording and edit-out the glitches yet. Godfather GR596/597 would save me the bother. INCIDENTALLY, THIS IS A PHENOMENAL PERFORMANCE.

IMO, having had the vinyl KISS ‘Egos At The Stake’, I’d grade it as VG, rather than Ex.

strummerville and anyone else interested in the Robert Plant, I just finished listening to the new Godfather and did not hear any of the sound glitches that you mentioned and agree that this is a excellent performance and great choice for a pressed release. I’m sure a full review is forthcoming.
