Yes - I tend to agree about the packaging. The way the discs are packaged is especially moronic & idiotic. In fact, after having bought the DSotM Immersion boxed set, I chose to buy just the 2CD Experience Edition of WYWH rather than spend so much $$$ on the Immersion boxed set of it.

The packaging of those EMI Immersion Edition box sets is absolutely criminal. I own Godfather box sets that are far better quality.

I just got the "Wish You Were Here" set on Friday afternoon, and just as I thought they would, just as they did likewise on the DSotM sets, they (again) failed or refused to specify the exact date(s) of the live material at Wembley in Nov. '74. So I don't know which particular show(s) each live track is sourced from. Why can't they just give us the exact date(s)?

Is Disc 2 of the Immersion boxed set of DSofM really the legendary radio broadcast from Nov. 16th, '74? It sounds so much different, and the start of "Us & Them" & the sax solo later in the same track both sound VERY different. Furthermore, Immersion's "Any Colour You Like" is more than approx. 30 seconds longer than it is on the boot versions, and the total playing time of Disc 2 of Immersion is more than a minute longer than it is for the boot versions. And these are only the discrepancies that are rather obvious to me so far, after having bought the whole entire set 4 days before it was actually released - surely there are other discrepancies that could be mentioned as well. So can anyone possibly explain the differences? Any helpful replies will be well-appreciated - thanks.

"The long-awaited 5.1 version of ‘Wish You Were Here,’ mixed by James Guthrie, will also be released in parallel via independent label Acoustic Sounds"....does this mean it will be available seperately from the very expensive 5-disc version?
