The luxury label Tarantura has recently unveiled a 6 CD box set of George Harrison and Eric Clapton’s shows in Japan in 1991 in what turned out to be George’s last live shows. Presumably utilising new audience tapes “The Master of Going Faster” is a limited, numbered set of 150 and covers 3 nights ( 5th, 6th and 9th of December ) from the full count of 12. 5 December Disc 1; Disc 2; Disc 1; Disc 2; Disc 1; Disc 2; Related posts:THE BALLOON BOY'S ROCK CARNIVAL IN TOKYO News and new releases Eric Clapton - Vincent Van God - Known As Kind Of Blues (Tarantura TCDEC-70-1, 2) 4 Responses to “New George Harrison on Tarantura”Subscribes to this topic Comment RSS or TrackBack URLNagoya, Dec 5th had previously been released from source # 1 on “Fourth Night Live” on Platypus Records (PR-1001 A/B) and “4th Night Revisited” (no label). A more recent release, “One Moment In Time II (Misterclaudel mccd-22/23)” used two additional sources to present the complete show as the first one had run out in the middle of “Devil’s Radio”. The best source for Hiroshima 12/5 was “Old Friends, Old Love (Tricone 045/046)”, which used the master tape out previously in inferior “fuzzy” quality on “Live In Peace (Front Page FP-0040020/1)”. Fukuoka 12/09 had been out on “Rock Legends In Fukuoka (Masterport 017) CD-R” before but I never found a review of this. Anyway, with many good quality recordings circulating, it always seemed to be one for completists only. Sorry the comment area are closed |
