“Historic Live Recordings Volume. 1″, “Volume. 2″ and “Volume. 3″ feature a mixture of BBC broadcast tracks, telecasts and live concerts, all mastered under the watchful eye of the labels quality control. A mixed bag of oddities and what-nots, the labels press releases describes Vol. 1 as thus; “OxTango Music proudly presents Volume One of The Beatles Historic Live Recordings series; a silver-pressed, two-CD set covering key live performances from the year of the group’s meteoric rise to fame, culminating in their triumphant U.S. invasion.

Featuring a generous 53 completely live Beatles performances comprising over two hours of music on two silver-pressed CDs, these newly remastered versions are the best these tracks have ever sounded before.”

Volume 2’s press release reads; “OxTango Music proudly presents Volume Two of The Beatles Historic Live Recordings series. This silver-pressed, two-CD picks up where Vol. 1 left off, fame now locked in, with a further expansion of their horizons on large-scale U.S., European, and world tours.

Featuring a generous 52 completely live Beatles performances comprising over two hours of music on two silver-pressed CDs, these newly remastered versions are the best these tracks have ever sounded before.”

Finally Volume 3 wraps up by announcing; “OxTango Music proudly presents Volume Three of The Beatles Historic Live Recordings series. This silver-pressed, two-CD covers the final era of the Beatles’ career as a live touring act, the band growing increasingly disenchanted with the grind of the road, but still rising to the occasion to deliver excellent shows when it counted.

Featuring a generous 47 completely live Beatles performances comprising over two hours of music on two silver-pressed CDs, these newly remastered versions are the best these tracks have ever sounded before.”

The last disk of this round of releases is the labels re-assessment of the Beatles “Get Back” tapes, titled, “Get Back Sessions Nagra Tape remasters” – the press release says; “OxTango Music proudly presents The Beatles Get Back Sessions Nagra Tape Remasters, a sliver-pressed, triple-CD set comprising the best of the Beatles’ January 1969 sessions at Twickenham Film Studios and Apple Studios that resulted in both the Let it Be album and feature film, several 45 releases, and numerous outtakes and bootlegs.

This set is unique among the many presentations of this material currently in circulation, not only for being strictly derived from the mono recordings made by the Nagra machines used to capture audio for the film documentary – but further remastered and sometimes edited to more tightly focus on those moments of inspiration that were all too fleeting in these sessions. The overriding concept is of what might have been had a more expansive vision of the “warmth and freshness of a live performance” touted on the original LP jacket actually been followed through upon.”

As usual, samples of these remasters can be found at the companies website http://oxtango-music.com
