Can anyone tell me how this compares to the cd In Deep Grief which i own. I personnally feel the on the wings of a russian fox bat cd is a great performance Mr bolin is certainly on fire here.As Relayer67 has mentioned this tour was very much hit and miss due to drug problems and the band being burnt out the DVD pheonix rising should be a good insight into this line up and subsequent tour.Keep Rocking

4 or 5 years ago I received in trade a CDR set of this source remastered from a 1st gen cassette source. I’ve always been a fan of Coverdale when he was with Purple and was just developing a interest in “TB”. I agree with Relayer67 and this is a great document of his short life. I have several other Purple silvers from this line up and this is much better compared to those. Godfather have taken this source and carefully added their remaster techniques and the result is a great sounding release including excellent colorful images of Tommy and the rest of the band. I recommend this for both hardcore and casual fans. If you’ve never heard Coverdale or Bolin with Purple then this is a great start and a title with some great detail. Thanks Godfather for another excellent “DP” release.
