i am fortunate enough to own a copy of the EV version and I’m rather pleased with it. It’s true that it’s a typical ’75 show but it’s still worth having. Every Zep show is worth having…:) Make it a point to get this show in whatever version you can get. You’ll be a happy camper.

I understand your reluctance as you have not heard the Eelgrass title but I have compared the two and they sound identical to my ears and BootLedZ site also claims they are identical so for anyone who does not want to pay the premium prices EV charges and can live with simple packaging this is an excellent alternative

I've heard and reviewed several Eelgrass releases, but I'm reluctant to declare the Eelgrass a direct copy of the Empress Valley on Conspiracy Theory because I've not heard the other one. I'm not so quick to make assertions like that because, according to the bootledz site, Eelgrass isn't always a direct copy. For example, bootledz claims that the Eelgrass Destroyer is not a direct copy of EV's Maximum Destroyer, but a copy of the no label Destroyer with the volume increased. I made that assumption in my review of the Eelgrass even though I never heard Maximum Destroyer (too expensive) and it turns out I was wrong (according to bootledz). However, I would say that if budget is an issue (which for most of us it is) then the Eelgrass Conspiracy Theory is the way to go.

I have heard both and they are the same tape. As far as I know Eelgrass is a label dedicated to copying the best of the Empress Vally, and in one case Mid Valley (Stardust release), label releases. I have never done an in depth critical comparison but the few releases I compared the Eelgrass was a direct copy of the EV release. Maybe one of the LED Zep experts can verify this….

I’ve never heard the Eelgrass so I don’t know if it’s an identical copy to this.

This was also copied and released by Eelgrass for a much more reasonable price and is easier to find
