Quick update… HL673/674 are the numbers on the discs for THE SHOW MUST GO ON (HL001SEX). So the only numbers unaccounted for are:

I discoverd one more Highland label release: Pink Floyd – The Wall Rehearsals at Paramount Studios 1980 “HIGHLAND LIMITED SPECIAL EDITION” . This came together as a set with Pink Floyd – The Show must go on (HL001SEX)

A couple more notes on some mis-numberings:

HL129/130 ELP “Karn Evil 9 Exhibition” has only 129 on the spine and numbers 163 and 164 on the discs

HL131/132 ELP “Abaddon’s Bolero” has numbers 130 and 131 on the discs.

Disc 1 of Yes “Paris ’74″ is also numbered 132.

HL137 King Crimson “New Yorker” is numbered 168 on the spine.

Disc 2 of Genesis “Through the Ages is also numbered 137.

Disc 3 of Pink Floyd “Over the European” and Disc 1 of Yes “Open the Show” are numbered 165.

HL172/173 Pink Floyd “Pepperland in the West” only has 172 on the spine.

HL185/186 Roger Waters COMPLETE ”HITCH HIKING” PERFORMANCE only has 185 on the spine.

HL299 Mike Oldfield “MOONSHINE BELL” is mis-numbered on the spine as 294.

HL309/310/311 Pink Floyd “WISH ROY WERE IN KNEBWORTH” only has 309/310 on the spine.

HL458/459 “LUNA PARK 1999″ should be 457/458 as it is numbered on the discs.

HL517 Asia “ARICA” should be numbered 536 as it is on the disc.

Both Jethro Tull “A=LIVE 1980″ and Disc 1 of
Pink Floyd “STAMPING GROUND” are numbered 640.

So the only numbers truly unaccounted for are:

Thanks for the info! Do you have any more specific info on what those releases should have been or ended up being? I searched for those labels (By the way, I believe it’s “Le Matango”). I couldn’t find info on Syndicate, but Le Matango released a number of PFM titles and one by Henry Cow.

I’m trying to amass a complete Highland collection, and I only need Asia “Actinia” and “Asia After U.K.”, EL&Powell “Welcome Back to Powell’s Show” and the Sampler (can anybody out there help me find them?). I’d love to know what those missing numbers should have been and if any made it out to release in small numbers.

Following Highland numbers were NOT released:

HL225, HL457, HL532, HL536, HL554, HL555, HL576, HL601, HL631, HL632, HL659, HL673, HL674

I remember that 554/555 should have been a YES release which came out as “Wonderous Show” on “Fragile JY22A/B.
The “Fragile” label is a one off release from the Highland folks.
Some of the other missing numbers were released on ” Le Mantango” or “Syndicate Records”,
Highland had a mastering problem on HL 237, that´s disc 3 from ABWH “Young Person´s Guide to YES Music. Disc 3 was repressed as HL237* . Highland released a Promo Sampler silver pressed CD as well. It includes snippets from various Highland releases from YES, Genesis, ELP, Pink Floyd…That Promo CD had a type of cue sheet but no Picture sleeve.

Genesis “Voices in the Academy” is mis-numbered on the artwork as 189-190, but according to the discs, it should be 188-189, which makes sense.

Egg “Back to the Egg” is misnumbered on the artwork as 468 (which is the Jethro Tull title). The number on the disc is 472, which seems to be correct.

That leaves these numbers that still have to be accounted for:

My sources tell me that some of these were titles that were never completed, but at least two of them were released, but had mastering problems. Anyone have any additional info?
