The EQ job is very nice and sharp but unfortunately, they have overdone the noise reduction and we have the annoying metallic sounds present at times. they also did not pitch correct the source, it runs too fast. This could have been a much better release with a little more care. the graphics are quite nice though, good pics from the down under tour.

I join in the deserved praise for this title, which is startling at first to hear in comparison to prior issues I’ve heard of this recording. From the very start, with the person by the taper exclaiming “in the flesh, John Bonham” before Bonzo stretches out and then kicks Zep into Immigrant Song, it is clear that the audio of this release is a very nice improvement (to my ears) in overall sound. Solid bottom end, with Page and Plant perfectly in the mix with Bonham make for a great listening experience, particularly if you have prior (inferior) releaese of this recording.

It’s obvious Godfather use a very low generation copy of this tape. It is very clear and powerful and is perhaps the best version out there.
