Apologies for omitting any reference to this glitch in my review and many thanks to schriste for bringing it to everyone’s attention. As stated in the review the Godfather release has its origins in the same source as the Tarantura version and the glitch is also present in the Tarantura release. Consequently, it is not a mastering or manufacturing flaw specific to the Godfather version. Despite the flaw, in terms of completeness and overall sound quality, to say nothing of availability and price, the Godfather release is still the one to get.

Found the booklet hiding in the sleeve, I know everyone is relieved to know that. The comments in the booklet are kind of harsh, the songs aren’t near as disastrous as stated. WLL’s middle solo sounds better than Page used to play it in the 70′s, but overall the middle theremin portion is elaborated on much more in the actual concert. This release is a must have, it will be listened to at least 100 times in the near future, Page’s sound is raw and unique. The digital glitch is in a good spot if there is such a thing, my friend has the EV, I’ll ask if it’s present on that version but personally think it’s a GF mastering flaw.

I experienced same flaw described by Schriste, this big digital glitch during Dazed, from 4’41″ to 5’33″. I was told by seller this was in original source but I don’t think so, cause there’s no clue of it in the EV version, for instance. Is this flaw affecting all Godfather issues or is it just a flaw in some copies? Anyone has a copy of it without the flaw? Thanks in advance!

There is a big digital glitch lasting a minute or two during the bow solo in dazed on my copy, disc looks clean, seems to be a mastering issue or pa problem during the rehearsal itself, not sure which. Great sounding, the guitar has a wicked tone and sound, the experimentation of the solos are in some respect better than the concert itself. A must have. No booklet in mine, maybe it’s hiding in one of the pockets.

I have this CD – Godfather does a fine job with this one – really nice Nobody’s Fault with a nice For Your Life. The CD seems to drop in and out some with respect to the fullness of the sound. Still a great sounding release at a reasonable price.

A stunning sounding (and looking) release by Godfather. I have not heard either release by EV or Tarantura so I can’t compare but after hearing Godfather, I don’t see a need to seek any other version.

Yeah great release from Godfather. The overall feel of the music is what can be expected from rehearsals. They are so comfortable with each other as friends and musicians that is what makes them sound the way they do feeling free to express themselves openly and honestly.This release is truly historic and a must have.Keep Rocking
