DLee:yes, I meant 6/16/75....referring to the long overdue upgrade from "Raving Crazy Diamond Moon" - still getting used to this new keyboard! Anyway, "Time" is in fact complete on "Creative Intelligence!"

Godfather's Wishes, Echoes, & Desires is theoretically an upgrade over the Highland and I stated as such in my review. The label unfortunately used a faulty master and some of the tracks are plagued by digitial scratches. If that release were corrected, then with the sound quality it would be the defintive version of the second Nassau show.

I would chip in that the June 16th Nassau show, which hasn't seen a silver release in a decade, does need a defintive version. I have a personal interest in shows in the New York metropolitan area, especially those on Long Island...

An upgrade for 6-17-75 way overdue? What about Godfather's recent "Wishes, Echoes, & Desires?" Or maybe even Highland's "Live at the Coliseum", which has been said to be slightly inferior to the Godfather title? Are you sure you didn't mean 6-16-75 or another date instead?

Also, is 'Time' completely complete on "Creative Intelligence", or are the first few minutes missing, as they were on most or even all versions until a few years ago, when a complete one went into circulation?

Thanks, as always.

Well, it really depends on whether one is a casual collector or a Floyd archivist, and being of the latter category, I'd say they all are worthy. I mean, we're so close to having a complete "Animals" tour - how amazing would that be, sound quality variances aside? Many of these shows have been traded privately and cleaned up/speed corrected already. Then there's the issue of the many great Ayanami, Sirene, Windmill, Amity (etc.) Pro-CDR titles that deserve to be silver pressed as well (even though a large number of these are solo tours or post-Waters era). Last I checked, there are 274 shows that have not been released on silver or Pro-CDR even (I'm talking Floyd only, 1968-1994) for which recordings are known to exist. Sure there are some rougher sounding items, but there are plenty that sound great too. So hopefully some of the silver labels will tap into this in the future - we don't really need a 5000th version of 11/16/74, the older BBC sessions, 5/9/77, etc. - there's at least 5-10 from every tour from '68-81 that remain unreleased on silver, and upgrades for things like 6/22/74 or 6/17/75 are way overdue!

Well, I can say that there are about 10-11 shows for which recordings are known to exist that have never been represented on silver pressings from the '75 and '77 tours, so it's certainly possible. There are definitely a few shows from these that are overdue for upgrades as well, but I've not heard of anything in the pipeline yet. If Sigma has a run as long as Sirene, surely some of these items will surface!

Anyone know if there are any new sources or re-releases due in the future for the '75 or '77 tours? At this point, I think I have everything from the '72-'74 time frame!
