To Aleebee – I’ve never experienced exactly what you describe, but given my experience with the few digipaks coming from this particular label that I have, I’m not surprised. Their Floyd work overall has been great, but their gluing of the trays to the sleeves has been somewhat sloppy, as each of mine has strings of glue visible going from each corner to their adjacent ones. A bit sloppy & unprofessional-looking, but of course, the musical contents on the discs themselves are what ultimately matter the most.

Got this last week. Very pleased with the SQ. Just a Q for you good folks: mine was shrink-wrapped and on opening I found that the trays hadn’t been glued to the sleeve. Not one of those cases where the gum had come off: I don’t think it had ever been on. Just wondering if anyone else had found this…

My copy finally arrived today and I have no complaint about this release as far as sound quality and packaging is concerned. The webmaster of CMR knows I’m usually picky when it comes to Pink Floyd sources and thanks to his advice, I’ve added quite a few to my collection and “How Time Flies” is a welcome addition to my growing “PF” collection.

Yes – both of the titles of the show on the 17th that I referred to are 3-CD-R releases, but I tend to prefer the FRP “Getting Better All the Time” over the Ayanami “Amazing Wembley” version because the latter unfortunately has tiny clicks on track changes, while the former fortunately does not.

eric99: I think a lot of us picked up this title anticipating the 14th, and it wasn’t until after having done so that the news it was actually the 15th came out. I tried to get the review done as soon as possible for this very reason (hence the overlooking of the 17th’s facts), and hopefully this will help clarify things for those who’ve yet to procure it. I’ve noticed the date has been corrected in most places now, so that’s good…but, give it a spin anyway…an upgrade is never a bad thing, and though I enjoyed the STTP version, this has now been rendered obsolete by How Time Flies

DLee: You’re absolutely correct that there are a handful complete versions of the 17th…I think I overlooked these as I was focusing primarily on the show at hand. I don’t have the FRP release, but I’m assuming it’s CDR like the Ayanami? Either way, thanks for mentioning those – I’ll correct the review as noted! Cheers!

Thanks for your great review. However, when it’s said that “only fragments released of the final show on the 17th”, haven’t complete versions of the show on the 17th been released, such as on Ayanami’s “Amazing Wembley” 3-CD, which unfortunately has little clicks on track transitions, & Free Range Pigs’ “Getting Better All the Time” 3-CD, which fortunately doesn’t have the little clicks on track changes?
