tmoq, your internet friend DLee, has the old Akashic release, and he says that he couldn’t notice the new Sigma-59 being noticeably or significantly different, so all in all, it’s likely that the new Sigma-59 was tweaked just a bit to make it sound very slightly, probably only a tiny bit, superior to the old Akashic, for some listeners. the artwork and packaging are definitely way different.
