After paying a scalper 25.00 a piece for 2 Second row Kiss tickets back in 1979, the 100.00 a ticket for the Floyd was way, WAY out of my 9th grade budget.

I hope no one gets the wrong impression from this review about the 26th portion; sonically it’s ok – but the audience really infringes upon the music at times. There are certainly some recordings from The Wall tour that are far worse, but on the same token, it’s nowhere near the brilliance of the other 3 that were upgraded this year (including the 28th portion on this set)!

Fantastic release, I was surprised at the quality of the 26th show, other than the crowd chatter it is very enjoyable. The 28th is far better than Home Piggy Home.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend these shows either. I was only twelve at the time and nobody would take me! But I do remember the excitement of the release of The Wall. It was the biggest thing to hit sixth grade since pizza for lunch.

I also remember the tremendous excitment surrounding these shows and they have taken on an almost mythological status in Long Island Pink Floyd lore. And thankfully some of the best sounding tapes have surfaced from these shows.

Sigma’s edition of the February 28th show is phenomenal. It sounds better than my master clone. The sound is vivid and the show is tight and I believe this is will achieve definitive status. And having the February 26th show for the first time on silver is a nice bonus.

Man, that's a total bummer about not getting tickets, and even more salt driven into the wound knowing that guy you work with went & wasn't a real fan! That being said, I am positive you'll be quite pleased with "Your Favorite Disguise" and the "U.S. Wall" DVD. Thanks for sharing your story though...perhaps GS has one relating to these shows too?

I’m one of those who tried to get tickets. I/we thought we were being smart by actually going to the Coliseum, along with this being at the start of the Islanders Stanley Cup run, to buy tickets. Well, no sooner did the ticket windows open and the line actually move for a few minutes, then they were all sold out! Well, I recently learned that a guy I work with and share some Zeppelin shows with, WENT TO TWO SHOWS. And, he’s not even a Floyd fan. Just went cause some one had free tix. Anyway, seeing these shows available brings back good memories.
