To my ears it’s a harsh recording with the emphasis very much at the top end. If it wasn’t for Charlie hitting the cymbals at regular intervals you wouldn’t know he was there. I’d say it was no more than good for sound quality purposes. I’d also point out there’s some distortion at the start of ‘Love in vain’ & YCAGWYW. The bonus CDR is of similar sound quality. Don’t get me wrong, it’s probably as good as it’s going to get, but I wouldn’t rate it as excellent.
