Thanks, kads – Godfather has also confirmed that both the minor glitches in Racing In The Street and Jungleland and the extraneous noises in Quarter To Three are present in the original sources.

The Godfather box is the only version I have heard, so I cannot make a comparison with the torrented versions. I hear a split-second cut in Racing In The Street and a similarly short glitch in Jungleland, both of which I suspect are present on the original tape. It is possible that the noise on Quarter To Three is the result of a faulty CD and I am obtaining another copy to verify this. Should this be the case, I will add a further comment. I hope that is helpful.

Excellent review as usual. But are the flaws (very minor glitches in Racing In The Street and Jungleland, extraneous noise near the end of Quarter To Three)
also present on the original source or have they been introduced by Godfather?

Cliff I just bought you a double shot of Joe. I’ve been reading your reviews since I discovered this site over a year ago. Your reviews are always informative. Especialy when I’ve had to dig out my dictionary to look up some of the words you use. The historical information of previous releases and Springsteen himself is always enlightening.
