I was finally able to obtain an original "Firebird", and although the distortion on it is fairly noticeable, it's still considerably enjoyable & recommended. Also, I'd like to apologize (sorry) for my unfortunately offensive comments about singer/songwriter Ke$ha & her music, as she's actually not so awful - certainly not deserving of all the disturbing animosity/enmity/hatred that seems to be directed against her on the 'Net. Anyway, I sure would like to see what other Cream CD titles Tarantura might produce & release eventually someday.

I'd like to apologize in advance (sorry) if I'm "opening a can of worms" here, and I don't even know if Eric99 is still around, but there's a site run by a certain Cream expert who claims that this is actually not at all from Connecticut on June 15th, '68, and instead is from some unknown venue, most likely not in Connecticut, in either Oct. or Nov. later that year. I'm not necessarily saying that I believe him, but it does seem somewhat odd for the "Wheels of Fire" tracks such as 'White Room' to have been played as early as June, and after all the checking out of Cream boot material sites that I've been doing lately in recent weeks, I haven't yet found any other corroborating evidence of them being played as early as June. The Cream expert also has different claims about other Cream shows/recordings, such as the soundboards from southern California on Oct. 18-20, '68, that conflict with popular opinion.

Would appreciate that LedMan. It does look like it was either a round stage, or revolving. The picture on the back shows a girl sitting next to a drum, (nice leg!) which is most likely from another band.

I have "Big Black Loading Zone" Mainstream label and that release has way too much bass. "Firebird" is a excellent upgrade from a verified 1st gen safety copy and this is all the exists today. I will see if I can confirm if this was the early or late show and post that information. I was told by a spectator that this venue had a revolving stage and that also could explain why at times Jacks' vocals were distant and muffled.
