More new Beatles on the HMC / Copy Cat label

The new release on the HMC / Copy Cat Chronicles label is “Reminiscing” – a copy of the Bill Kenwright doc. that was broadcast on BBC Radio 2 on the August Bank Holiday weekend of 2009.
Rather than just give you the broadcast as it was HMC have remixed and produced these tracks with their ‘Ambient Stereo’ feature and also added a couple of additional tracks of their own ( Italicised below. )

One might well wonder if an endless stream of marginal upgrades will forever come down the pike here in the last bastion of pressed silver bootleg CDs. And I don’t wish to marginalize the work the remaining bootleg labels put into mastering/pressing the downloaded audio files onto disc. As bittorrent file sharing has far reduced the retail market for boot CDs, the significant newly-discovered unreleased material comes seldom if at all.

This one arrived today and I must say its one fine listen. These tracks sound fuller and crisper than ever before. A fine remastering job and a nice alternative to the strictly mono sound we are accustomed .I think for those who enjoy these sessions you will not be disappointed with this set.
