April 20th, 2008 news and new releases

There are many new releases to announced today.  Bob Dylan 4th Time Around (BD BOX) is a copy of the Scorpio release plus a bonus DVD with Getting To Dylan (Omnibus BBC 1987), Highway 61 Revisted BBC 1993

John Lennon The Rock N Roll Sessions 1973-1975 (BFB 29) contains the original Roots album with bonus tracks, Sunnyview rehearsals, and session outtakes on three discs.  The DVD has the Old Grey Whistle Test 1975 plus live at Madison Square Garden 1974 with Elton John

The Beatles From Us To You 1963 (BFB 30) contains various television appearances in 1963 over two discs.  More likely than not this is a copy of the recent MBE release. 

The Eagles Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert 1974 (WLR-1057) also contains Linda Ronstadt and Jackson Browne. 

Chuck Berry Rock And Roll Anthology (CHB) contains appearances from 1956 to 1975 on one DVD in the PAL format

Bill Haley & His Comets Rock & Roll Vol. II (BH) has appearances from 1968 – 1979 on one DVD in the PAL format

Rock & Roll In Europe features various artists on the Vince Taylor Special on one DVD in PAL

Pink Floyd More Journeys Through Time And Space (WLR-1056) has various broadcasts from 1968 – 1972 on one PAL DVD.  This looks like a copy of the DVD released from Japan several months ago

Rolling Stones The Final Bang (WLR-1055) contains the whole O2 Arena show on August 26th, 2007.  This is from eight cameras plus pre-show footage. 

Neil Young The Dutch Sense Of Humor (Manga 001) contains a soundboard recording on two CDs from the February 20th, 2008 show

Radiohead Live In London (RH 1/08) contains the radio broadcast on January 16th, 2008

REM Live In London 2008 (REM 0308) contains and eight song radio broadcast from the Albert Hall, London on March 24th, 2008

And finally Brian Wilson That Lucky Old Sun (20061942) contains demos and rare tracks
