new Deep Purple and Lynyrd Skynyrd

Deep Purple dominates this week’s new releases.  A DVD titled Definitive Paris 1985 features the pro-shot July 9th, 1985 show in Paris of the reformed classic line up.

The Deep Purple dedicated label Darker Than Blue have three new titles now available.  Köln 1970 (Darker Than Blue 143/144) documents the April 4th, 1970 show on two discs.

Rainbow 1973 (Darker Than Blue 145) contains the February 13th, 1973 show at the Rainbow Theatre in London, England.

Perfect Recall (Darker Than Blue 146/147) features the April 15th, 2009 show in Tokyo, Japan.

And new on Tarantura is Lynyrd Skynyrd Tokyo Crossroads (TCDLS-3-1, 2), a 2CD set featuring the January 21st, 1977 show at the Sun Plaza Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

  1. Nice! Not enough Skynyrd coming out on silver these days and this looks like another Mr. Peach recording…..and classic Deep Purple is always welcomed.
