New releases from The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Queen, & Metallica!

The Beatles – The Making Of The Beatles 1957-1963 (no label) is a double disc with the first featuring various performances around Liverpool from 1957-1960 and Hamburg, Germany with Tony Sheridan from 1961. Disc two captures The Beatles at Decca and EMI Studios, London 1962 with Cavern Club and a couple TV appearances to round out the set.

The Beatles – The First Four Albums: In Spectral Stereo Remix (no label) is a 4CD set covering Please Please Me, With The Beatles, A Hard Day’s Night, and Beatles For Sale

The Rolling Stones – Goin’ Back To The Roots American Tour – July 1972 (no label) is a single disc from The Scope, Norfolk, Virginia on July 5th, 1972. This is “Taken from the original LP “Goin’ Back to the Roots American Tour – July 1972″ (Rubber Dubber Rec., 08A1 BADAV / 08B1 KYO)”.

The Rolling Stones – Philadelphia Special (no label) is a 2CD set containing a mix of tracks from Spectrum Sports Arena, Philadelphia, PA on July 21st, 1972 and Tarrant County Convention Center, Fort Worth, TX on June 24th, 1972. Disc two features an expanded version of the first disc.

Queen – L.A. Forum 1977 2nd Night: Mike Millard Original Master Tapes (Wardour-407) is a 2CD set from The Forum, Inglewood, CA on March 3rd, 1977. This is the tape anticipated by relayer67 in his recent post.

Metallica – Definitive Eau Claire 1986 (Zodiac 373) is a single disc stereo soundboard from Old Mill Expo Center, Eau Claire, WI on May 29th, 1986. I guess this is the definitive version of Eau Claire 1986 (Zodiac 281).

  1. Without checking the track list, the Early Beatles release would seem to be a copy of ‘Kicks, Kudos and Cash’ by Lord Reith – On it’s third incarnation now, it is the go to so far for these recordings and I’m so glad it has been pressed. Though I’m under no illusion that in about six months there might be a V.4
