New releases on Golden Eggs!

The Golden Eggs label have announced some new titles coming soon…

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds – A Beautiful Dream (EGG 12) is a single disc FM Broadcast from Paris, France. This was recorded at Studio 105 de La Maison de la Radio on November 20, 2017.

U2 – The Best Thing Ever Happened (EGG 13/14) is a 2CD Compilation with ALL 2017/2018 TV Appearances including The Abbey Road gig featuring all broadcast songs in the correct running order, plus bonus tracks with songs never pressed on silver disc. The label boasts “Superb sound quality, nearly 160 minutes of great music”. This comes with a 4 page booklet.

David Bowie – Isolar Two (EGG 15/16) is a 2CD soundboard from Earls Court Arena, London, UK on July 1st, 1978. As a bonus, the label includes 4 live tracks from the officially released (download only) Berlin 78 as well as some highlights from his Dallas 78 show and also comes with a 4 page booklet.

Motorhead – The Neverending Trio (EGG 17) is a single disc soundboard from Volkshaus, Zurich, Switzerland on November 12, 1982. This also features two bonus tracks from the Lochem Festival, Lochem, Holland on May 15, 1980 from an FM Broadcast.

Mark Knopfler and Friends – Dire Straits And Hillbillies Farewell (EGG 18) is a single disc featuring highlights from Shepherd’s Bush Empire, London, UK on July 23rd, 24th, and 25th, 2002.

U2 – Desert Rose (EGG 19/20) is a 2CD set from the Rose Bowl, Pasadena, CA on May 21, 2017. This features the complete concert from 5 IEM sources + 1 audience recording MATRIX. This also contains two bonus tracks from the previous evening at the same venue.

  1. Yes, shame they got the line-up wrong for the sleeve! This show was uploaded by the band themselves, on their official webpage many years ago (late 90s/ early 2000s to best of my recollection), so I’m surprised it has taken this long to reach silver.

  2. Was excited for Motorhead until I saw cover. Fast Eddie Clarke not even playing on this release as it was Brian Robertson on guitar at this point. Tsk Tsk Golden Egg For Not Doing Your Homework ( but I’m still gonna get it )
