new Stones and Dylan on Scorpio

Two interesting new Scorpio titles are coming out.  Bob Dylan (Abandoned) Desire is a 2 disc set containing the quadrophonic version of Desire on disc one:

The second disc contains outtakes and alternate versions including a previously uncirculated take of “Joey.”

The Rolling Stones Reel Time Trip is a one disc release covering various studio sessions.  The first track is previously unreleased, a demo of Little Boy Blue & The Blue Boys’ recording of “You’re Right, I’m Left, She’s Gone.

10. Loving Cup June 10 – July 2, 1969, Olympic Sound Studios, London, Producer: Jimmy Miller; Engineer: Glyn Johns. Early version with Mick Jagger repeating the end of lines 1 and 2 (“come on up”/ “face full of mud”); no female back-up vocals and no brass.
11. Sister Morphine (Jagger, Richards, Faithfull) March 28-31, 1969.

  3. A shame Scorpio aren’t as prolific as they used to be & the tapes that they’re using don’t hold as many surprises. No doubt I’ll STILL be hunting these down just to give them a listen & see how the Stones release compares with the Genuine Black Box & the tidbits on there.
