  1. Foxes in the Boxes was a very nice series of 3 downloads on the internet. Glad the No Label label has pressed this one. Did they also press volumes 1 & 2? Guess I should check out the new releases section!

    • The first two volumes were released last month Lordbud but releasing these CDs over three disks was essentially a false economy. They are short running times and would easily fall over 2 CDs. We need a label who will look at the chronology of these disks and press them a little more affordably. The covers for the No label production though were as handsome as ever.

  3. Does anybody know if the single disc Zeppelin release is from a tape source? The google translation of the release blurb suggests a transfer from the old vinyl release…I like this show but not sure I want any crackles/pops committed forever to the silver disc.

    • Most likely it is sourced from vinyl but also it might be one of those uncirculated alternate sources reported to exist somewhere.

  4. I’m intrigued by the Led Zepp, “929” set. I’ve been eyeing up the set as I’ve mentioned before but being from a DAT master and unaltered, it’s piqued my interest. Would anyone care to chip in as to how this set might sound, please?

    • This is nothing new, at least for Led Zepp collectors out there. The 16bit/48kHz 2nd gen is a common stage aka soundboard tape source released billion of times before and it’s not an upgrade over the past releases. It sounds just about the same as recently released EVSD set. You can avoid this one as well.

      • Thanks zepster. I’ll keep my eye out for other variants instead.
