New on Zion is Simon And Garfunkel is Eastbound (Zion-022). This debuts a new soundboard recording for the May 8th, 1982 Osaka show which is already documented by a great sounding audience recording.
The Rolling Stones Glasgow 1973 is a one disc title with the September 16th, 1973 Glasgow show.
The Rolling Stones Another Still Life is a two disc compilation of soundboard tracks from the 1981 Still Life tour.
Bob Dylan Live In ’81 Earls Court on the Raz label contains a brand new, excellent quality recording of the June 28th, 1981 which includes the gospel tracks.
Bob Dylan Live In ’88 is a two disc set containing the two soundboards issued earlier this year.
Does anyone have information about the sound quality of the S&G disc? This show has been circulating for a while. I have a two cdr copy which sounds like it was dubbed from a 90 minute 10th gen cassette.
Both discs run about 46 minutes, and the last song on each disc cuts off in the middle. Don’t waste your money unless you’re sure this is a major upgrade.
Although I am not a Simon and Garfunkel collector, I am glad to see the Zion label are still alive and well. They had produced some great titles in the past and I had wondered if they were still active.
