Needle drops dominate the news this morning with three new mono transfers scheduled for release. Two Rolling Stones titles are coming out: Let It Bleed (LK5025) and Their Satanic Majesties Request (LK5465). Both of these titles are packaged in a digipack and contain generous amounts of studio outtakes and alternate versions as bonus material.
Paul McCartney Ram is a needle drop of the rare mono version distributed to radio stations in the seventies. Unlike the Rolling Stones transfers, this contains the mono edition of the album only. And finally, Scorpio will release Jimi Hendrix Maui Hawaii. This title contains two CDs and a single DVD covering Jimi Hendrix’s final show in the US on July 30th, 1970. This contains a soundboard recording, and audience recording, and an eighty-one minute film of the event.
