Pink Floyd – Hakone Aphrodite 1971: Master Recording (Sigma 138) is a single disc featuring their appearance at Hakone Aphrodite, Hakone, Japan in August 1971. This is said to be “Taken from the original reel-to-reel tape (Sony HF-370)” and according to the scan of the master tape, this appears to come from August 7th. The previous days performance exists from multiple sources and has been released on titles such as Aphrodite (Sirene-160), Aphrodite 1971 (Sigma 117), Aphrodite 1971 (Sigma 133), Echoes Of Japanese Meddle (STTP 153), disc one of Memories Of The East (Sigma 24), and of course disc one of First Time In Japan (The Godfatherecords GR 933/934/935). August 7th has never been issued before to the best of my knowledge.

I’ve just ordered the no label Led Zeppelin Offenburg ’73 release. The snippets of this one sound great.
Anybody knows if Pink Floyd St. Louis March 6, 1973 show will be released someday by Sigma on silver cd ???
it’s hard for anybody to tell, unless they’re a Sigma insider or something like that, but my best educated guess would be that it’s rather unlikely that Sigma will ever release it, because it has been released before as one of those so-called “free-gift” pro-CDR items, and the sound quality, although rather decent, isn’t good enough to justify a pressed silver release. it would be considerably well down the list on Sigma’s order of priorities, and could very well take years if they actually do ever release it. Sigma’s priority seems to be much more in favor of “perfecting” or making “definitive” versions of the best recordings that have already been released in the past multiple times.
Thank you Careful Axeman Eugene for your opinion about it……I heard a little of that CD-R in this site and I think the sound quality is B+ with “some audience chat”. But anyway, I like it.
The Rush show has been previously released by Gypsy Eye as Made In Japan, will be interesting to see if they managed to fix the flaws of that release.
The Firm release looks interesting. I don’t believe this release has ever been pressed to silvers before.
