Has anybody, other than myself, heard the new Pink Floyd 2CD “Boston 1973 Mastersound” on the SpeakEzy label? Although I’m not sure how it compares to the previous releases by Sigma, etc.,…WOW! What awesome sound quality & performance by the Floyd! And it even includes a “secret” or “hidden” (unlisted) bonus track…Childhood’s End, although I don’t know which particular one it is, as I have no idea which particular date/venue it comes from, so therefore I don’t know if it’s one that’s already in my personal CD collection.

Anyway, all of the SpeakEzy CD releases that I have so far, incl. 1 by Cream, 2 by Derek & The Dominos, and at least 2 by Roger Waters, have been rather excellent. All highly recommended CD’s…would love to see what they release next.

    • childhood’s end is from st. Louis. I’m wondering if this release blows away my old sirene release.

St. Louis? Thanks for letting us know that, but how do you know that?

Also, the new SpeakEzy version is likely quite an upgrade over your old Sirene version. And I’m not sure, since I haven’t made any direct comparisons, but it’s likely also a bit of an upgrade over other versions, such as the Sigma 73 release, the one by the “Pink Moon” label that I think is actually Scorpio, and the more recent one by Shakuntala. However, I’ve never actually heard either the Pink Moon / Scorpio or Shakuntala versions.

None of what I say will make any difference to anyone here, of course, if this message gets rejected or deleted by any of the moderators here. By now, they’ve rejected or deleted so many of my messages here over the years, unapologetically, whether by accidental error (such as confusing it with spam) or for whatever other reason, that I’m seriously considering no longer posting here anymore.

    • From the giginjapan website. Please keep posting. The only thing you can’t do is mention a price you paid for a bootleg.
