Another bunch of Beatles, McCartney and Stones!

Another batch of new Mccartney tour titles, Beatles studio tapes and live videos and a sonic upgrade for the Stones have appeared;

Starting with McCartney and an arresting new 6 CD box from Empress Valley has surfaced. Recorded on the 28th of April, 2015, “Live At The Budokan” takes in a whole two hours of rehearsals for the show (Including, yes, ‘Temporary Secretary’ which wouldn’t be unveiled until Macca’s first concert in London) all from a stereo IEM feed, the second two disks feature an IEM / excellent audience matrix while the fifth and 6 disks feature the complete show from an excellent audience source, an ‘omnidirectional stereo’ recording. This could be one of the best and last words on the Japanese tour dates .. I shouldn’t speak so soon ..

From the Beatles camp we have two different versions of the newly repaired and remastered Roger Scott tapes. The first by Masterjedi titled, “Great Scott It’s The Beatles”. 3 x 2 disk sets, each with their own beautiful covers – This set was launched on to the internet earlier this year, along with those covers, and should essentially be THE set to own around 26 years after they were first released on silver disk.

beatles-roger-scott-62-65-white1The Core Collection project have released the recordings over two triple CD sets designated between 1962 – 1965 (The white version) to 1965 – 1969 (The black version). Presumably, the sources used were the same.

The Beatles, “Live at The Star Club – The definitive edition” (Archive Limited) takes the audio and video from the recently uploaded to the internet set and presses it to silvers. As this was a set made by fans, it should evade all the usual chance taking with the audio and be the most definitive set to be released so far.

Finally the Stones disk you’ve been waiting for, Lesmore’s upgrade and release on to Blu-Ray audio of arguably the Stones greatest bootleg, “Brussels Affair” in both 24 bit quadrophonic and stereophonic sound.
