The last disk of this round of releases is the labels re-assessment of the Beatles “Get Back” tapes, titled, “Get Back Sessions Nagra Tape remasters” – the press release says; “OxTango Music proudly presents The Beatles Get Back Sessions Nagra Tape Remasters, a sliver-pressed, triple-CD set comprising the best of the Beatles’ January 1969 sessions at Twickenham Film Studios and Apple Studios that resulted in both the Let it Be album and feature film, several 45 releases, and numerous outtakes and bootlegs.

This set is unique among the many presentations of this material currently in circulation, not only for being strictly derived from the mono recordings made by the Nagra machines used to capture audio for the film documentary – but further remastered and sometimes edited to more tightly focus on those moments of inspiration that were all too fleeting in these sessions. The overriding concept is of what might have been had a more expansive vision of the “warmth and freshness of a live performance” touted on the original LP jacket actually been followed through upon.”

As usual, samples of these remasters can be found at the companies website http://oxtango-music.com
