A 2 CD set containing the full show at the Apollo Centre, Glasgow on the 17th of December, 1979 also includes music from the Concerts for the People of Kampuchea performed on the 29th of December, rehearsal versions of three tracks, the ‘single’ and ‘Wingspan’ edits of “Coming Up” and Macca’s three Buddy Holly covers from another live show that same year.

An additional DVD features *deep breath* The Wings portion from the Concerts for the People of Kampuchea (‘TV broadcast stereo version’, ‘VH1 PLUS long version’ and ‘Raw footage alternate version’. Material from the UK tour report in Liverpool, the Buddy Holly tribute concert, the Buddy Holly tribute concert (MTV Version), the Concerts for the People of Kampuchea (Japanese satellite TV version and finally ‘Rockestra’ from the Rockestra film.

  1. Sound quality??? Differences??? A little more detail guys…

    • That’s all I got, Mott. If I can find a copy of this for review, it’ll all be listed there.

      • Careful Axeman Eugene

Why would anybody expect such detail from an announcement or news report of a new/upcoming item type of posting here rather than an actual review of the item, after the reviewer has had at least a decent chance to obtain or acquire it?

        • To be fair to Mott, the anount of breathless excitement I put in to my announcement might suggest that I had more to say about it but until it comes my way, I’ll have to suggest that I think it’s gonna be great!
