Released a couple of months ago (And outside of our usual remit), this large (11 LP) boxed set has just arrived at one of the CMR international offices and, despite the fact that it is vinyl, I thought it was worth a mention.
If anyone who had picked up the old Godfather boxed set that was eventually reissued on vinyl will know – These beautiful productions – pressed thistle on multiple colours look as good as they sound and are as encompassing as their CD companions.
This set spans 1971 to 1978 running from David’s small beginnings playing at Aylesbury, Friar’s Assembly Hall to one of the concerts in a much bigger stadium in Germany where Bowie was to take root for a while while he crashed and then rose.
