New Who at Charlton ’74 release on Empress Valley

The Empress Valley label have just released a new 4 CD boxed set featuring a complete collection of audience tapes from the Who’s show at the Charlton Athletic ground in London, UK on May the 18th, 1974.

The Who take precedent over the first two disks with the other 2 CDs giving space to Humble Pie and Bad Company. This is the first time that any of the Humble Pie set will have been released.

The samples that we’ve heard from this release suggest a very exciting recording even if it’s no soundboard.

If you liked this review, buy me a cup of joe. (Suggested: $3 a shot or $7.5 for a double)
