Badeholders Weekend (Badgeholers BH-008-01-02-03)

The Forum, Los Angeles, CA – June 25th, 1977
Disc 1 The Song Remains The Same, The Rover intro/Sick Again, Nobody’s Fault But Mine, In My Time Of Dying, Since I’ve Been Loving You, No Quarter
Disc 2:  Ten Years Gone, The Battle Of Evermore, Going To California, Black Country Woman, Bron-yr-Aur Stomp, White Summer/Black Mountain Side, Kashmir, Trampled Underfoot
Disc 3:  Out On The Tiles intro/Moby Dick, Guitar Solo, Achilles Last Stand, Stairway To Heaven, Whole Lotta Love, Communication Breakdown

Badgeholders Weekend is the third release in the past two years of this show, coming after Delirium Treatment on Tarantura and Saturday Night’s Alright on Wendy.  This is the excellent stereo audience recording used for all releases of this show.  This one, along with the June 27th tape, is a bit heavier in the bass than the other tapes produced by this taper.  It sounds like Badgeholders wanted to brighten it up a little by cranking up the volume and filling out the high end with horrid results.  With so many different versions of this show floating around this title can be safely avoided.

  1. It’s not that bad. It maybe cranked up a little loud but it doesn’t distort at all. I kind of like it. It’s a nice clean and powerful recording.
