A new year supplies a new label titled, ‘Golden Eggs’ and this new kid on the block has some sweet releases to begin with;
‘Springteen On Broadway’ is the complete show from the Walter Kerr theatre, New York, played on the 21st of of October, 2017 – Reproduced here from a remastered audience recording.
‘Here. Now. Live’ is a collection of Liam Gallagher’s ‘Best radio broadcasts’ – Taken mainly from the BBC it features some Oasis classics alongside some of the singers latest solo material.
The Italian Earthquake Benefit Concert took place in Sferisterio, Macerata, Italy on the 20th August, 2017. Two of the stars of the concert, Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood played a stripped down set of the band’s tracks. This audience recording makes it’s debut on silver CD.
‘The French Side of The Moon’ features Pink Floyd’s concert at the Palais Des Sports, Lille, France on the 7th of December, 1972. The complete concert on 2 CDs from an excellent audience recording.
U2’s, ‘The Greatest Gift Is Gold’ is an audience recording from the San Diego Sports Arena, San Diego, CA on the 16th of April, 1987.
Finally, ‘La Gioia Semplice’ makes it’s debut on to silver. An excellent audience recording of the Rolling Stones concert at Mura Storiche di Lucca, Italy on the 23rd of September, 2017. The label suggest that this might be the best recording that you’ll hear from this tour.

Is there going to be a review of “French Side of the Moon” here anytime soon, like over the next 2 or 3 weeks? I need to know so I can make a decision on whether to possibly just go ahead & buy it within the next couple days (if there won’t be any review within the next few weeks), or to wait until the review first (if there’s actually going to be one within the next few weeks). Please let us know…it’ll be appreciated…thanks
Careful, yes there ill be a review of this Floyd title, be done very soon
Surely the label name comes from the old TMOQ/Stout Deluxe cover Yardbirds album!
Word from across the tracks is that Golden Eggs is replacing Eat a Peach which replaced Godfathers. Apparently they are returming to the gatefold, triple gatefold format like Godfather used to produce. Hopefully everything they touch turns to gold.
I would be interested in hearing how ‘The French Side of The Moon’ compares to ‘Luna Lille’. This says the “complete concert” does anyone know if it includes ‘Childhoods End’ as most late Nov./Dec. ’72 shows did? I have never seen a version of this show with it included, it may not have been played.
No…unfortunately “Childhood’s End” isn’t included, as it has just the usual DSotM tracks, plus “One of These Days”, “Careful with that Axe, Eugene”, & “Echoes”. According to the “In the Flesh” book by Povey & Russell, “Childhood’s End” apparently wasn’t played that particular night, and “Echoes” was the encore.
And I was thinking the same thing that Sionxxii said.
Godfather redux part 2??
