Silly season it appears is not just for newspapers (Remember those?) – from the Far East, two new boots of dubious value have emerged;
“Atom Heart Mother Goes On The Road’ is the latest release from SpeakEzy – a 5 disk set featuring different versions of two BBC shows. Yes, you read that right – both concerts from the BBC Paris Cinema, London, England 16th July, 1970 and the 30th September, 1971 are featured here as stereo and mono versions all, apparently, from different sources.
The 1970 show appears 3 times, the 1971 show appears twice. You should by all accounts, need no other versions of these shows after this purchase and the set, well, it includes a bonus poster.
The Dog ‘N Cat label release their 171st edition – ‘Handsome Girls Detroit’. Presumably taken from the audience recording that was uploaded at IORR earlier this year, this is the first time that the show has appeared on silver disk, it was mainly released on Rattlesnake’s ‘Sucking In Detroit’ a few years previous, mainly from soundboard tapes so this edition will either complete your collection or will already be surplus to requirements.
