The Tarantura label have recently released two new Rainbow releases from two different years in the bands history.
“Detroit Rock City” features one of the groups shows at the Ford Auditorium, Detroit, MI U.S.A.
A little ambiguity about the date – it was recorded on either the 18th or 21st of November, 1975. The confusion stems from the assumed date of the 21st of November when the photos for the band were taken and this is the date that’s also listed on the internet, however, Tarantura have included a repro flyer with the set and that places the date of the show on the 18th.
Any Rainbow fans here care to take a punt? This release is limited to 100 copies.
The label’s second release, “Always Catch A Cold” comes from 1979 and an FM recording from the 12th of Oct. 1979 at the International Amphitheater, Chicago IL U.S.A.
A single disk release, the label have released this with separate Richie or Cozy covers, each is, again, limited to 100 copies each.

Relayer: Did you order both releases? How do they sound? I would appreciate if you could share your opinion about these new sets.
The Rainbow Fanclub Legacy fan site lists the show as being on the 18th, more curious is that the band did in fact have an open date on the 21st, sandwiched between dates in St Louis on the 20th and Chicago on the 22nd. My copy did arrive today, may do a review after I finish the Attack on Titan title.
