Speaking of Clapton, has anybody heard the new “From Eric in Memphis 1975” 2CD on the Paddington label? Is it a true SBD as advertised, or is it just a great audience recording? How does it compare to previous releases, such as the following?….

This recording above is an exemplary soundboard of a great show. I have it on the ‘Zenith’ cd release and I cannot see how much a remaster could improve the sound quality! In some ways, I think it would have been wiser for Eric’s record company to release three whole shows from this period -including this one – rather than go for their recent musically themed trio (rock/blues/orchestral) of 2cd releases from the ’24 Nights’ era. A must have Clapton show!
