  1. Seems like the old Secret Trax series’ continue to be reissued…

    • Not strictly true as, looking at the track listings, there are little oddities peppered here and there between – It must be around 15, 16, 17 years since those Secret Trax releases anyway, there has to be a little something new by now.

  2. I’m not completely sure about, but I can’t seem to remember that particular Deep Purple show, on a date that’s exactly 29 years before an extremely beloved pet of mine (4-legged type) finally passed away (March 20th, 2002), being released before on factory-pressed original silver. So anybody know if in fact Darker Than Blue 256 is the show’s debut on factory-pressed original silver? Thanx.

Also, how did Darker in Blue’s catalogue no. suddenly reach 256 already? Weren’t they only in the early 200’s just a few months ago?

    • Actually that particular Deep Purple show has been released before, in fact, on a rather obscure Deep Purple 1CD boot that I bought a few years ago for a rather cheap price…I’m referring to “Bruxelles 3.20.73” on the DP label, which has rather poor sound quality & doesn’t have the complete show (all the tracks). So hopefully this new Darker Than Blue version will be an upgrade not only in terms of length/completeness, but also sound quality as well.

Also, I’ve checked Darker Than Blue’s latest catalogue numbers, and now they seem to make at least some (more) sense to me, although it still seems that some numbers were skipped…for whatever unknown reason(s).
