Ledman, The ‘Live in Pompeii’ DVD will be a silver pressing. Unless it’s a really desirable CDR (sic) then we’ll only feature silver disks.
Yep, that’s exactly why Jerry. They might get scrubbed up a little but unlike the 90’s not everything gets pressed to CD now – Maybe that’s the beauty of downloading a little – that the wheat gets separated from the chaff. I think there will be a set that covers the three CDs – It’s all part of the race, now.
Stuart, I haven’t listened to the Montauk rehearsals yet. Do you say that because they’re pretty lo-fi? Also, I see there is a third volume of Foxes In the Boxes looming so I assume some label will release all three together eventually (or pretty quickly!).
I’m curious if the Floyd “Live At Pompeii” is a pressed DVD?
I wonder if the YES Q.P.R. DVD set of the Japanese laser disc will be plagued with the same sound mix problems as the other official releases of this material.
Foxes was certainly downloaded and pressed in perhaps record time!
It was indeed! It had only come out on Exile’s CDR label last week but these recordings are worthy of pressing and so I’m glad they have been .. I’d hate to think that the Montauk rehearsals might get the same treatment though.
