News for February 4th, 2008

Misterclaudel will release The Beatles Historical Star Club Tapes.  This release will document the newly discovered fifteen tracks that surfaced several weeks ago which were taped over three days in December 25th, 26th, and 31st, 1962.

Two new Rolling Stones silvers will also be released next week.  The Original Hold On Tight is a two disc set documenting the June 27th, 1975 Madison Square Garden concert.  This is a two source mix, using the vinyl release for most of the show and a different source for “That’s Life,” “Rip This Joint,” and “Jumping Jack Flash.”  It is notable also for Carlos Santana joining the band on stage for the encore “Sympathy For The Devil.”

Also coming out is The Rolling Stones Giants Stadium 1994.  This is a document of the August 14th, 1994 show from the Voodoo Lounge U.S. Tour ’94.  Unlike other releases of this show, this isn’t from the video soundtrack but a true soundboard recording, according to the label.
