  1. The Zep 72 San Bernadino and the La forum gigs from 72 have great sound quality, Charlotte and Baltimore are also good shows from the American tour. Adelaide from the Australian leg is great also, first night on Tokyo is great too. Search Led Zeppelin 1972 on this site for reviews as well as checking out bootledz for additional info before you buy. Only soundboard I know of from the 72 tour is the long beach fragment, pretty much every show from that year is excellent, although research should be done to determine what is acceptable to your ears.

  2. I just think it’s shame when we have labels rehashing WITHOUT much improvement – I’ve not heard this title, but I have plenty of other ‘upgrades’ – whilst CDRs abound of, for me, Tull (Uxbridge label partic), Dio (Sylph), Priest etc. Many are excellent SQ. I stopped buying CDRs ages ago, so if it’s not silver, the label doesn’t get a sale from me.

    • You’re correct. Non label (aka Lighthouse) products are one of the worst. They’re releasing srticlty everything what’s available as free downloadable sources and they are not working further on tapes but EQ them, that’s all. Its sound is vert weak and digital in opposite to other labels, especially the old Godfather and Eat A Peach, where a very careful and professional mastering job is always applied (at least on some of their titles). It’s a big shame that most of today labels do not have any kind of respect to the listeners.

  3. can anybody recommend the very best (top 2 or 3) live 1972 Led Zeppelin CD releases, preferably soundboard, and preferably not too difficult to track down on pressed original silver? thanx for any suggestions
