  1. Not cheap but absolutely one for the collectors – and this time Godfather have done it properly with a care to detail & an overall package that frankly puts the major labels to shame for it’s price point.
Personally the stand-out highlight for me is a previously unheard pre-strings “Abbey Road” mix of “Life On Mars?” that sounds like something knocked up to give the recording people at AR a monitor mix to track to – absolutely fascinating.
Downsides? Tooi nany “extracts” for my liking, and a lot of it sounds sourced from needledrops, MP3 and/or YouTube…….but the highlights are worthwhile because even though a lot of the really interesting stuff has been available previously they are still worth having on one set. Examples:

60’s – The Riot Squad EP (Little Toy Soldier to Silver Tree Top School For Boys”)
70’s – Abbey Road mix of “Life On Mars?”, the Trident Master Tapes (poreviously available though)
80’a – the unreleased version of Cat People.
90’s – Mother (from the “Toy” sessions)
