New Beatles, Pink Floyd, & Rainbow titles!

The Beatles – It’s The Beatles (no label) is a CD + DVD from the Empire Theatre, Liverpool, UK on December 7th, 1963. The CD features an “Unprocessed Version” while the pro-shot DVD features the “Restored Edition” and contains both the restored and raw footage. The DVD also has bonus material from the Royal Variety Performance, Prince of Wales Theatre, London, UK on November 4th, 1963 and a couple tracks from Late Scene Extra / Scene At 6.30, Granada TV Centre, Quay Street, Manchester, UK on November 25th, 1963.

Pink Floyd – An Hour With Pink Floyd: Definitive Edition (Sigma 213) is a pro-shot DVD from KQED TV, Fillmore Auditorium, San Francisco, CA on April 30th, 1970. The label has corrected the song order and includes footage of “Astronomy Domine”, not included in previous versions. They have also corrected the recording date and offer both remastered stereo and original mono for the audio setup.

Rainbow – Definitive On Stage (Rising Arrow-063) is a 2CD stereo soundboard from Budokan, Tokyo, Japan on December 16th, 1976 Evening Show. This version is culled from five soundboard sources with some of the tracks on disc two taken from Cozy Powell’s original master cassette (TDK SD: C90).

  2. Disappointing to find that the official release of PF’s KQED footage is not ‘definitive’.

    Another release of the Rainbow Dec 16 1976 evening show? I can’t be bothered to see how many times we’ve had this in some form. All bar a few tracks we even got the thing officially, as CD2 of the ‘Deluxe remaster’ of ‘On Stage’. Does this mean I shall not be buying it? Now, I never said that…
