News for January 27th, 2008: Lots of Zeppelin!

It seems Empress Valley have re-released Led Zeppelin Live On Blueberry Hill (EVSD-387/388).  This is a two disc set in a cardboard gatefold sleeve and if the catalogue number is any indication, contains the excellent quality TMQ source.

Wendy announced today the release of Tulsa Symphony:  Ode To Joy (wecd-80/81).  This is a two disc set covering the August 21st, 1970 show in Tulsa.  This is a great sounding tape and we’ll see what Wendy does with it.

Tarantura has re-released their latest two Led Zeppelin titles.  Both sold out very quickly and these should address that.  The second edition of the McTrainspotter tape of the reunion show Legendary Legend has been issued with a different cover, featuring a photo of Page.

Their second edition of the October 10th, 1969 Paris broadcast also has a different cover than the first and is titled N’est Aucun Imbecile (Black Dog Rekords BDR-003).  This is dubbed by the label the “French MC version” and contains the DJ comments that were edited out of the first release.  Hopefully we can have a review posted on this site.
