Beatles in Stockholm – more releases.

The latest and greatest, big Beatles release has appeared from two more outlets with more to follow. It appears there was only one photo taken in Sweden too.

“At Johanneshov” is the Empress Valley version of the show. A 14 track release, it features the original version that appeared on the internet in MP3 form and also the labels remastered version.

“Live In Sweden” is the first release on the Rough Cut Trax label. This is a tour de Sweden featuring a big chunk of the recorded appearances from the bands visits to the country in both 1963 and ’64. This release also features the labels own remaster.

  1. As far as I can see, there are no lossless files or complete show that exist for the Johnneshov Isstadion, not in circulation at least. I believe that the guys behind Empress Valley are Beatles fans – they’ve certainly been releasing big swathes of McCartney recently but then there has been no shortness of ‘Out There’ shows on silver disk.

    It is strange how no-one else has dropped on the Berlin 1965 soundboard either. Maybe it’s the lack of other new ’65 recordings that’s stopping them (Not that is has in the past ..)

  2. So as I am out of the loop here — one assumes that no lossless files are available for the new old Stockholm show? Empress Valley releasing a Beatles title? From lossy MP3s…who would have thunk it? What about the new old Rolling Stones show from Berlin 1965 soundboard? Where are the Japanese labels when you need them? They’re always there when you don’t need them, so FTW… :)
